As we all know Covid 19 has kind of messed up all of our summers, in March we had to start quarantine and ended up in a total lock down. Our family wouldn’t let this ruin our summer, so we had to change some plans and work with what we had.
My family was supposed to go out to Alberta for a month during the summer to visit my aunt, uncle and 2 cousins. Unfortunately that was not possible. We were all quite disappointed, but we knew we still had to have an amazing summer. To make this summer as best as we could, we knew we had to start brainstorming and find new things we could do without going inside as much as possible. Luckily for us we found the ” NS Staycation Crawl.” This would give us a list of 20 destinations across Nova Scotia that we would have to go visit. If we visited all 20 of these destinations we would be put in a draw for several prizes. This was a great way to keep us busy and also explore ALL of Nova Scotia. Because of this Staycation Crawl we explored all of the coasts of Nova Scotia!
(All 20 destinations + an awkward photo for our awkward photo contest.)

If you know my family at all, you know that we love keeping busy. So, including those 20 destinations we also visited a lot of beaches and a bunch of other places. I am very thankful that we didn’t do this alone, i’m very thankful that my cousins and aunt’s schedule worked out that they could do all of this with us!
So needless to say I think we did quite a good job at having an amazing summer with everything that has happened, and I hope next year will allow for a bit more flexibility with our traveling!
